The Republican Unitary Enterprise for Supervision on Telecommunications “BelGIE” (State Enterprise «BelGIE») was established on 27 June 1996 to provide state supervision over electronic communication. Thus all users of professional radios (of more that 0,5 W) in some way communicate with this organization, because it’s BelGIE that provides control over radio frequency sopectrum in the Republic of Belarus, its supervision, it coordinates frequency territorial plans, provides electromagnitic compatibility of radio equipment and performs other functions and tasks in radio communication sphere.
What administrative procedures radio system users should know about?
- A company should apply to BelGIE to receive license for using separate frequency band for own use before cunstructing radio system and purchasing equipment. This is performed to provide free high-quality communication and safety of information transfer within the network. BelGIE charges the users for the separate radio frequency band.
- Receiving the frequency and registration of radio equipment. After all the stages of designing, purchasing and construction have been finished, the company has to register the radios at BelGIE and receive the appropriate licence for their use and to prolong in every five years. BelGIE also charges this procedure.
